I. Literature review
(1) Research background
Capsicum is a kind of raw herb in the solanaceae and capsicum genus. There are more than 200 varieties of capsicum in China, and more than 50% of countries grow capsicum. Although China and other countries grow the same types of peppers, they vary in variety. Due to the differences in the growing conditions of pepper, the world's main pepper producing areas are mainly concentrated in Asia and Europe, accounting for 68% of the global total production. Among all pepper producing countries, China's pepper production is in a leading position, and its share of global production exceeded 50% for the first time in 2007, marking China as the world's largest producer and consumer of pepper. Hot pepper in China not only has a high output, but also rich resources and diverse varieties, which are loved by global consumers.
According to the data, the total output of chili in China from 2015 to 2022 increased year by year, showing an overall upward trend, from 33.52 million metric tons in 2016 to 41.39 million metric tons in 2021, an increase of 7.87 million metric tons, an increase of about 19% in 6 years, with an average annual output of 37.3063 million metric tons. Among them, in 2021, China's total pepper production is 41,391,217.23 metric tons, accounting for 2.93% of the national grain production, accounting for 27.19% of the world's total pepper production, according to the data of the World pepper Organization, in the 2022 pepper season, the global pepper production reached 36.798 million tons, China's production ranks first in the world, up to 2053.1 10,000 tons, 28% of global production.

(2) Research significance
In recent years, with the continuous development of global trade and the improvement of the internationalization of China's agricultural products, China's pepper export trade is an important part of China's agricultural trade. China's pepper export has gradually become an important economic growth point. In this context, in-depth research on the current situation of China's pepper export trade is helpful to understand the market demand and competitiveness of China's pepper, promote the upgrading and transformation of China's pepper industry, and promote the international competitiveness and influence of China's agricultural products. This paper aims to conduct in-depth research and analysis on the current situation of Chinese pepper export trade, and comprehensively understand the production situation, export varieties, destination markets, trade forms and competitiveness of Chinese pepper. Corresponding policy suggestions were put forward to promote the rapid development of China's pepper industry and promote the modernization of China's agriculture.

(3) Research summary
China is one of the world's largest producers and exporters of chili peppers. Pepper export trade has played an important role in promoting the development of China's pepper industry and economic growth. The following is a literature review of the current state of China's chili export trade. Zhang Pengfei, Lai Xiaoqing, and Gao Quanli (2020) Analysis of Location Choice in the Development of China's chili Industry and Export Trade by analyzing the data of China's chili industry and export trade, this paper discusses the location choice of China's chili export trade. The results show that the production and trade volume of pepper are highest in Henan, Hunan and Sichuan provinces, which have become important production bases and export nodes of pepper due to their good soil and climate conditions. In addition, the growth in trade volume with the European Union and North America is the most obvious, which is related to the diversification of China's pepper export market. Lu Ruimei, Gao Fengming (2019) Analysis of the Evolution characteristics and Influencing factors of China's pepper Export Based on Trade gravity Center Theory used the trade gravity center theory to analyze the evolution characteristics and influencing factors of China's pepper export. The study found that the trade center of China's pepper exports has gradually shifted to Northeast Asia, mainly affected by the demand of Japan and South Korea and other countries. In addition, the evolution of China's pepper exports is affected by domestic production, quality and price. Zhou Guangxing, Chang Lifeng (2018) Research on the Value Chain Analysis and Promotion Strategies of China's pepper Export This paper analyzes the value chain of China's pepper export and puts forward strategies to improve the value chain of China's pepper export. The study found that the added value of Chinese pepper exports is relatively low, mainly concentrated in the primary processing stage. Therefore, by strengthening brand building, improving product quality and processing technology and other measures, we can enhance the added value and competitiveness of China's pepper exports. Ge Yan, Li Yi (2017) Study on the Environmental Impact of China's pepper Export studied the environmental impact of China's pepper export. The study found that there are some environmental problems in the production and export of pepper in China, such as soil erosion, water consumption and pesticide residues. Therefore, in order to sustainable development, China's pepper export needs to take a series of environmental protection and sustainable management measures. In summary, the above literature review shows some research results on the current status of China's pepper export trade. These studies reveal some characteristics and problems of China's pepper export trade from different perspectives through the analysis of pepper production, trade volume, location choice, trade focus, value chain and environmental impact, and put forward relevant solutions. These research results have a certain reference value for further promoting the development of China's pepper export trade. However, there are few but few scholars based on the development status of China's pepper trade research, this paper will focus on the analysis of the current status of China's pepper export trade in recent years, find the main problems, and put forward corresponding suggestions for China's pepper export to open up a broader future.
